Have you heard of the ladies of Stories by Mabel? For those who haven’t: look them up. These ladies are the godesses of love, and the masters in telling stories, especially your story. They will do everything to get to know you, they will search for what lies deep in your hearts, they will take that and use it for the most important part of your weddingday: the ceremony. No, not a ceremony in front of the altar in church with a priest talking about Jesus and his apostles, but a ceremony custom made by you, for you, together with your most beloved friends and family.

Lieke founded Stories by Mabel, and she is the most inspiring woman I have ever met. She is kind hearted and warm, and she can bring this warmth to everyone around her. Her sister Katrien is the co-founder of their company, and is the silent strength behind the scenes. Since a while now, they have two wonderful ladies helping them writing and telling the stories of the couples they’re marrying: Rose and Ine. I’ve got to know them better too, and I know they’ll make sure the your special day will be the most special you will always remember.

Lieke, Katrien, Rose and Ine organise a breakfast or a lunch once in a few weeks to get to know the couples that are interested in a custom made ceremony better. They provide the couples with tons of information which they can use while organising their wedding. I had the opportunity to join them a few weeks ago. There was a lot of laughter, a single tear, but most of all, a lot of warmth and cosiness.

Stories by Mabel always has a wonderful team of vendors to join them for these occasions. Ger Savelkoul, a Dutch pianist/singer with a bag filled with humour, was there to brighten up the lunch with his music. Sisters Karolien and Stefanie of Baked provided the most amazing cakes, which were reason enough for me to be present. Liberty Vintage provided the most beautiful furniture and details to style the lunch, and Isabelle from Letters and Styling took care of the last cherry on top with her beautiful, handwritten paper goods.

I can’t stretch enough what a wonderful experience it was to have joined this lunch, and I will be joining it more often in the future. I can only advise to contact them and put yourself on the list for the next available brunch!
